Mt. Everest, 8848 m., the highest mountain in the world is a dream of all expeditors keeping their footsteps on the top of it. It was the year of 1953 May 29, Sir Edmund Hilary and his Nepali Sherpa Guide, Tenzing Norgay Sherpa climbed this mountain successfully at the first time in the history of Everest Expedition. Every year lots of climbers make their effort to conquer this peak following the Khumbu trekking route explored by them.
We hereby designed trekking package for all that takes you to follow the footsteps of those great heroes.
In this program you will get an opportunity to reach Everest base camp with Spectacular Mountain vistas including the Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Lhotse 8516m., Mt. Nuptse 7896m, Mt. Pumori 7145m., Mt. Amadablam 6812m. Mt. Thamserku 6800m, Mt. Island Peak 6189m, Mt. Lobuche East 6119m etc. On this trekking trail you will also view Buddhist Monasteries, the Social Projects being run with the support of Hilary’s trust and direct meet with local Sherpa people.
Itinerary
Day 01: Upon arrival in Kathmandu airport, transfer to the hotel
Day 02: Full day sightseeing tour inside Kathmandu Valley
Day 03: Fly to Lukla and start trek to Phakding (2652 m.)
Day 04: Phakding- Namche Bazaar (3446 m.)
Day 05: Day in Namche Bazaar for acclimatization.
Excursion to Syangboche (3720 m.).Visit Water purification project,
Health post, Environvantal Awareness Actitivities supported by Hilary’s trust etc.
Day 06: Namche Bazaar- Deboche (3867 m.).Visit to the Hilary Health post in Deboche.
Day 07: Deboche- Dingboche (4252 m.)
Day 08: Day in Dingboche for acclimatization.
Excursion to Chhukhung (4730 m.) for the spectacular view
of Mt. Island Peak, one of the most climbing peak in Nepal.
Day 09: Dingboche- Lobuche
Day 10: Lobuche- Kalapathar- Gorak Shep (5545 m.)
Day 11: Gorak Shep- Everest Base Camp- Lobuche (4930 m.)
Day 12: Lobuche- Pheriche (4270 m.)
Day 13: Pheruche - Tengboche.Visit tengboche monastery.
Day 14: Tengboche - Khumjung village.Excursion to Kumjung village,
Kunde Hospital,High School supported by Hilary.
Overnight at Khumjung Village.
Day 15: Khumjung village - Phakding
Day 16: Phakding- Lukla
Day 17: Fly back to Kathmandu
Day 18: Transfer to the airport for onwards journey
